GOLDEN EAGLE
Aquila chrysaetos

Origin: Eurasia, Nordamerica e Nordafrica.
Habitat: Typically rupicolous, breeds in mountainous areas full of meadows and pastures. Widespread especially among the 800 and 2200 m, in Italy they are present on the Alps and on the Apennines.
Size: 76-93 cm
Weight: 3 - 4,6 kg
Feeding: Carnivore. Feeds of mammals and birds, depending on the zone. In certain areas they eat even reptiles.
Biology:  The Golden Eagle is a predatory bird with brown plumage, darker on the chest and multicoloured on the back and on upper-wing.
