Origin: Central and South Americas, from Panama to Brazil
Habitat: Pluviali plains and amazonian forests
Size: Body of 86 cm.
Diet: Primarily eat nuts, seeds and fruits.
Biology: Impossible to distinguish the sex by the appearance. They nest in a hollow tree, in which they dig with the force of its beak. The female typically lays two or three eggs. The female incubates the eggs for about 28 days. The male remais near in order to find food and protect the nest with tenacity.
