Origin: Sardinia, Lazio and Umbria.
Habitat: Arid areas in the province of Cagliari and Sassari.
Size: height 90-110 cm .
Weight: 100-150 kg.
Feeding: Hay, pellets, bran and oats.
Biology: The donkey stands out among other equids to major development of the ears, the greater thickness of the head, hooves and the mane that is absent or very short. The Sardinian donkey in nature lives about 25-30 years in captivity, while 40-50 years.
