Habitat: Forests and rocky shores of rivers and Lakes
Size: Body of 55 cm., tail 18 cm. weight 6 Kg.
Diet: Onnivore
Biology: It is a solitary nocturnal animal, sleeping during the day hidden among the natural vegetation or in caves.
Moves with extreme caution in the thick of the forest, get close to houses only when it is sure it is not in danger.
In the origin countries has almost disappeared, because it was hunted due to its thick fur. It is now protected.
