Origin: Originated from the Middle East, spread throughout Europe
Habitat: Woodlands and open fields of the plain and hill
Size: Body 120-160 cm. Tail 15-25 cm. Weight 30-80 Kg.
Diet: Grass, buds, acorns, chestnuts
Biology: The antlers are present only in males, they fall and renew each year, it can reach 80 cm. in length.
The reproductive period extends from October to November with a gestation period of 8 months and 1-2 fawn.
The average life expectancy is 16 years. In the park there are three varieties: light spotted , dark spotted chital and ferret.
