MALLARD

Origin: Can be found everywhere, from Europe to Asia, Africa and North America.
Habitat: Lives in freshwater Wetlands such as swamps, ponds, lakes and calm rivers.
Taglia 52 - 56 cm ((wingspan: 91–98 cm).
Size: 710-1440 g.
Feeding: Practically omnivorous, they feed on anything that manages to find plunging its beak underwater or scratching on the ground.
Biology: The Mallard is the most known and diffused wild duck. Between the male and female there is a strong sexual dimorphism: the male has very showy colors and the female is brown to camouflage.
