MONK PARAKEET

Origin: It comes from South America, Puerto Rico
Habitat: It lives among the Palm trees, cultivated fields and plantations.
Size: 30 cm .
Weight: 110 - 130 gr.
Feeding: The parakeet eats seeds, fruit and insects.
Biology: The general color is green, forehead, cheeks and breast are gray , tail and wings feathers are blue, Brown beak and iris. The cheeks and throat are grey and come out to eyes when compared to the pale-grey chest feathers spotted of white. The younger parakeets are distinguished by the white skin around eye and usually have a more docile and less fearful behavior. The lifespan can reach the 35-40 on average years.
